In line with the tree planting campaign of the Soludo administration, the Chairman of Anambra State Universal Basic Education Board, ASUBEB, Dr. Vera Nwadinobi has inaugurated the exercise at the Board headquarters in Awka.
The trees planted are coconut, seedlings of palm trees, guava, orange, step trees and African tulips among others.
Performing the exercise, Dr. Nwadinobi extolled Governor Soludo’s progressive agenda for a clean, green, livable and sustainable environment to help curb erosion and foster an environment which will maintain a stable ecosystem.
Dr. Nwadinobi harped on the importance of agriculture and called on the Teaching and Non Teaching Staff to plant trees in Schools and in their various houses.
Symbolic planting of trees by the Executive Chairman, Board Secretary, Mrs Loveline Mgbemena, Permanent Board Members Mrs Ifeyinwa Anatune and Lady Chinyere Azodo, Directors of ASUBEB around the compound of ASUBEB Headquarters Awka formed the highlights of the event.
