The State Commander of the Agency, Mr. Daniel Onyishi made the revelation during an ABS public awareness programme, “NDLEA and You”.
Mr. Onyishi explained that they are in concert with the Ministry of Local Governments, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs on the plans to set up the committees which will be geared towards increasing stakeholder involvement in the fight against illicit drug trafficking and abuse in the communities.
He explained that the committee will draw membership from different stakeholder groups in the local government areas and communities and they will be expected to programme different ways of educating and sensitizing the populace on the basic information they need to know about the dangers of drug use and abuse.
