The Chairman, Anambra State Universal Basic Education Board, ASUBEB, Dr Vera Nwadinobi says the administration of Governor Chukwuma Soludo has made remarkable impact in the Anambra State Education sector in less than two years in office.

 

The ASUBEB Chairman stated this while speaking with ABS.

 

Dr. Nwadinobi pointed out that the Soludo administration has scaled up interventions in the Education sector through recruitment of teachers both in primary and secondary schools in the state, series of capacity trainings for teachers, palliatives of twelve thousand naira for four months to civil servants including teachers and more.

 

To sustain the awards and laurels the state schools have been winning at national and international levels, Dr. Nwadinobi revealed that the Soludo administration plans to recruit more teachers, and carry out more in-service trainings for teachers.

 

Speaking on why government -owned schools are doing better than privately owned schools, the ASUBEB chairman, explained that government schools have trained and qualified teachers, make use of modern national educational curriculum in teaching the students, while the teachers are also exposed to capacity building workshops regularly as well as periodic supervision of schools.

 

Dr. Nwadinobi noted that to complement the efforts of the state government as it continues to improve on quality of education in the state, teachers and students have roles to play which are to be regular and punctual to school, strict adherence to codes of conducts, delivery of lessons effectively and efficiently, participation in class works and other school activities.
