The traditional ruler of Awa Community in Orumba North Local Government Area, Igwe Israel Ezue has joined well-meaning Ndi Anambra in baring his mind on the Pace of development in Anambra State which just clocked thirty-two.
Speaking in an interview with the ABS on the thirty-second anniversary of Anambra State which was created on twenty-seventh August 1991 by the then Military president Retired General Ibrahim Babangida, Igwe Ezue who expressed with mixed feelings the rate of development in Anambra State since its creation, however commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for remembering the hinterlands in his developmental Programmes.
Igwe Ezue expressed satisfaction with the construction of Ufuma, Awa, Ndiukwuenu, Ndiora-Amansea Road which he said is the best dividends of democracy from the government to the people of the area.
He said that prior to the construction of the road various Communities where the road traverses seem to almost been forgotten by successive governments in Anambra State until the present Soludo administration came to their rescue.
According to Igwe Israel Ezue of Awa Community, the construction of the Ufuma-Awa-Ndiukwuenu-Ndiora-Amansea road will go a long way in enhancing human and vehicular movements in addition to boosting businesses.
The traditional ruler of Awa Community used the opportunity to commend the doggedness and resilience of the founding fathers of the State and all those that worked for its creation, charging the people of Anambra State to see its development as a collective responsibility.
Igwe Ezue on behalf of the people of Awa Community re-assured Governor Chukwuma Soludo of their total support and prayers to enable him continue to deliver on his mandate.
The traditional ruler of Awa Community, extolled Governor Soludo for the palliative he rolled out for the people of Anambra State to cushion the effects of the petroleum subsidy removal describing it as a mark of a leader with the welfare of the people at heart.
