Anambra State traditional rulers have called on investors to feel free and secured to invest in the state.

 

The traditional ruler of Okpuno and Deputy Chairman of Anambra State Traditional Rulers Council, Igwe Sunday Okafor made the call at the 2023 Anambra State Investment Summit held at the International Conference Center, Awka.

Igwe Okafor, who represented the Chairman Anambra State Traditional Rulers Council, Obi Alfred Achebe applauded Governor Chukwuma Soludo for transforming the state from being a departure lounge to investment destination, and explained that with the 2023 investment summit, more investors will be free to invest in the state in order to create employment opportunities for the teeming youths and reduce restiveness.

Other traditional rulers, including Igwe Dr. Eric Onyimadu of Ukpor in Nnewi South Local Government Area beckoned on investors and Ndi Anambra to embrace think home philosophy, while Igwe Bob Orji of Ezinifite in Aguata Local Government Area promised to provide hectares of land for investors to build factories in his domain in order to create job for the citizenry and reduce crime and criminality .

The traditional ruler of Nawfia in Njikoka Local Government Area, Igwe Daniel Obelle said that his community has dry and inland port for shipping services; both for import and export, and appealed to the government to build internal roads in the community to enable investors move their goods and services with ease.

On their parts, the traditional ruler of Umuoba Anam in Anambra East Local Government Area, Igwe George Ekwealor, and his Ukwalla counterpart in Anambra West Local Government Area, Igwe Joseph Ajodo also wooed investors to come and open oil and gas industries in Anambra East and West, and prayed God to continue blessing Governor Soludo for championing investment opportunities in the state.

 

They pointed out that the idea will make products manufactured in the state marketable and accessible to consumers.
