Anambra State Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare, Mrs. Ify Obinabo has summoned one Chinelo Anadumaka for maltreating her late brother’s wife.

The summon which took place at her office in Awka involved the widow, Lovina Anadumaka, her sister-in-law, Chinelo Anadumaka, her husband’s son, Uchenna Anadumaka and her mother-in-law, Maryrose Anadumaka.

The complainant, Lovina Anadumaka explained that she has been living in peace with her late husband until he became sick and eventually died and ever since then, her sister-in-law Chinelo has been a thorn in her flesh.

Lovina in tears recounted how she was asked to bring every property of her late husband immediately after he died and how she gave Uchenna the sum of two million naira for the burial of her late husband which Uchenna squandered.

The widow went on to present evidences of all the transactions she made with Chinelo and Uchenna and revealed that the duo have connived with her caretaker and collected house rent of one of her husband’s houses in Ibusa, Delta state and revealed that Chinelo went ahead to put tenants in her husband’s house in the village.

On her part, Lovina’s mother-in-law who is equally Chinelo’s mother Mrs. Maryrose Anadumaka collaborated all that the widow said and added how her daughter beats her up at any slightest opportunity.

Chinelo Anadumaka is a staff of Operation Clean and Healthy Anambra who was married to an Abia man but got divorced, which is why she came back to her father’s house.

On where they kept the two million naira given to them for the burial, the son of the deceased Uchenna could not give a reasonable answer to what happened to the money.

It was at this point that Mrs. Obinabo mandated the duo to handover every document relating to the house in Ibusa in their possession to the widow.

The Commissioner went further to warn them to desist forthwith from renting the house in Awgbu and also asked Chinelo Anadumaka to look for another shop and pack in.

Before the session ended, the Women Affairs Boss contacted the police and handed the duo over to them, stating that until they provide the documents and accept that they will not beat any member of their family again they will not be released.
