The Transition Committee Chairman of Orumba South Local Government Area, Prince Neville Uchendu has enjoined Ndi Orumba South both at home and in the diaspora to heed Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s clarion call for home investment by bringing part of their investments down to the state.
Prince Uchendu made the call when he visited Ndi Orumba South Welfare Association, Suleja-Abuja.
The Orumba South Council Boss who was honoured by the Association during the visit as one of the Most Performing Local Government Chairmen in Nigeria, expressed gratitude for the honour done him as well as the testimonies of appreciation to Governor Soludo from Ndi Orumba South in Suleja-Abuja for his achievements in all sectors of the state economy.
While commending Governor Soludo for his developmental strides in Orumba South especially in road infrastructure and other needs, Prince Uchendu enjoined Ndi Orumba South in Suleja-Abuja to continue to give maximum support to the Governor and thanked the traditional ruler of Ogbunka, Igwe Johnmark Anyaoha who was also honoured by the Association for donating a Hilux Vehicle to Orumba South to support security.
He maintained that through the assistance from the state government, his administration in Orumba South has recorded meaningful achievements which include reconstruction and rehabilitation of the Orumba South Council Hall and Ultra-Modern Canteen, improved medicare and sanitation across the towns, installation of CCTV Camera at Nkwo Umunze for security among others.
Prince Uchendu commended Ndi Orumba South in Suleja-Abuja for promoting the Igbo cultural heritage, noting that Governor Soludo has succeeded in reducing the rate of crime and criminality in the state through effective security architecture, hence the call on them to come home and invest.
In their separate speeches, the President-General of Orumba South Welfare Association, Suleja-Abuja, Chief Okechukwu Eji and Chairman Organizing Committee of the event, Chief Nnamdi Obi expressed satisfaction with the cordial working relationship existing between Governor Soludo and Prince Uchendu and assured that they would continue to support the present administration of Governor Soludo in the state especially by investing in the state.
