A Chieftain of the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA, Chief Boniface Egbutu has called for concerted efforts to achieve the green, livable and prosperous homeland initiative of the Soludo government in Anambra State.

 

Speaking in an interview with the ABS in Awka, Chief Egbutu who charged the people of Anambra State to always key into government programmes and policies especially the one geared towards improving the environment, urged them to always make use of receptacles provided by the government in dumping refuse, warning them against blocking flood channels which he said defaces the environment.

 

Chief Egbutu who described the inauguration of Dobe Anambra Ocha as a major step by the government towards environmental cleanliness advised the people to always be environment friendly.

 

He commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for all the ongoing construction and re-construction of roads in different parts of the State which he noted will apart from opening up the hinterlands boost business transactions.

 

Chief Egbutu who is a community leader at Nise in Awka South Local Government Area used the opportunity to call on Ndi Anambra to take full ownership of the State by being alive to their civic responsibilities especially in the area of regular payment of government approved tax and levies to enable the government continue to serve them better

 

On the just concluded first Anambra State investment summit held at the International Convention Center in Awka, Chief Egbutu who described the summit as a veritable springboard for the speedy industrialization of Anambra State called on business men of Anambra State extraction in other parts of the country to help in developing Anambra State by bringing part of their investments home.

 

Chief Egbutu disclosed that the signing of thirteen memoranda of understanding with both local and foreign firms during the summit, especially for the construction of a rail line linking Ekwulobia-Nnewi and Onitsha, as well as the one for water scheme at Neni among others are clear indication that Governor Chukwuma Soludo is committed to transforming Anambra State.
