The twenty-one local government Transition Committee Chairmen in Anambra State have felicitated the Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Right Honourable Somtochukwu Udeze as he marks his first one hundred days in office, describing him as an outstanding parliamentarian.
In a press release endorsed by the Chairman of all the Chairmen and Transition Committee Chairman of Ayamelum Local Government Area, Chief Livinus Onyenwe, the Transition Committee Chairmen lauded Right Honourable Udeze’s sterling leadership qualities, which they said have necessitated a lot of reforms in the Eight Assembly under his watch.
The twenty-one local government Transition Committee Chairmen noted that within the past one hundred days, the Eight Assembly has recorded a lot of transformation and achievements, especially by embarking on bills and motions that support the overall development of the state, as well as the well-being of the people.
They commended the Speaker for his open-door administrative policy to both the lawmakers and the staff of the legislature towards improved productivity, adding that members of the Eight Assembly have continued to discharge their lawful responsibilities effectively as it concerns the statutory election of the Transition Committee Chairmen and members; in line with the provisions of the Anambra State laws and that of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended.
The release extolled the cordial working relationship existing between the state legislature and other two arms of the government in the state, especially the Executive, and enjoined the lawmakers to continue to partner with the present administration of Governor Chukwuma Soludo to enable the Governor actualize his lofty development agenda in the state.
The twenty-one local government Transition Committee Chairmen prayed God to continue to protect and direct the Speaker, Right Honourable Udeze, and give him longevity and favour to celebrate more eventful years in office, while calling on the citizenry, especially politicians to join hands with the state lawmakers in their efforts to make more legislative accomplishments for the development of the state.
