The Chairman Anambra State Post primary Schools Commission PPSSC Professor Nkechi Ikediugwu says any school principal or teacher caught sabotaging the free education policy of the present Soludo administration will be seriously sanctioned.
Speaking on ABS Radio and Television Programme “Tonimas half hour” in Awka, Professor Ikediugwu described the free education policy of Governor Chukwuma Soludo in Anambra State as part of efforts by his administration to ensure that every child in the state acquires sound and quality education.
Describing Education as key to sustainable growth and development, Professor Ikediugwu urged parents to take advantage of the free education policy of the government to send their children to school, urging teachers to allow parents to buy textbooks from markets and bookshops warning them against forcing parents to purchase books in their schools.
Professor Ikediugwu who described Governor Chukwuma Soludo as a leader who understands the plight of the people, maintained that the free education policy is part of Programmes of the State government aimed at alleviating the sufferings of the people.
According to professor Ikediugwu, Parents should be grateful to Governor Chukwuma Soludo for the free education policy by being supportive to his administration, in addition to praying for the governor to enable him actualize all his vision for the citizenry.
Professor Ikediugwu said that as part of efforts by the government to ensure quality teaching and learning, Anambra State Government is presently recruiting three thousand teachers online.
