Optimistic that Nigeria will emerge stronger and more resilient from present challenges, the Transition Committee Chairman of Anaocha Local Government Area, Mr. Gerald Ozoh, has called for all hands to be on deck in promoting good governance and fostering inclusive economic development.

 

speaking when he hosted pupils and students from different primary and secondary schools in the council area to commemorate Nigeria’s 63rd Independence anniversary, Mr. Ozoh noted that good governance and economic development cannot be sustained without peaceful and secured environment as the enablers.

He noted that the annual independence anniversary provides opportunity to collectively reflect and thank God for His endless blessings on Nigerians, remember the sacrifices of Nigeria’s founding fathers and great leaders’ past, as well as for Nigerians to rededicate themselves to attaining set goals.

While thanking Governor Chukwuma Soludo for supporting security agencies to combat insecurity in the area and the state in general, in addition to other developmental projects being executed in the area, free education in public schools, health and agricultural packages for women and farmers; which Ndi Anaocha are benefiting from, the Local Government boss urged people of the area to remain committed to achieving positive and enduring change by being law-abiding and changing attitude to public offices.

Contributing, the APGA Chairman in the council area, Sir Anthony Ugorji, commended Mr. Ozor for his achievements in the council area, adding that the party will continue to deliver on its mandate to the people of Anaocha and Anambra State in general, and will bank on its achievements for victory in future elections.
