Anambra youths have been advised to shun all forms of social vices and be good ambassadors of the state at all times.

The Transition Committee Chairman of Awka North Local Government Area, Mr. ThankGod Anago, gave this charge when the delegation of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN, Awka North Chapter paid him a familiarization visit in his office.

The delegation was led by the Anambra State Chairman of the NYCN, Comrade Emeka Obi, who is from Awka North Local Government Area.

According to the Awka North Mayor, the NYCN visit was his first official engagement with the coordinating youth body in Awka North, noting that it presented him with a unique opportunity to discuss on how best to move the council area forward.

Mr. Anago commended the youth body for keying into and appreciating Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s numerous people-oriented developmental strides across communities in Anambra State and Awka North in particular.

He maintained that under his stewardship as the TC Chairman of Awka North, he will always carry the youths along in his policies and programmes; in furtherance of Governor Soludo’s agenda on youth inclusiveness in governance.

The Awka North TC Chairman noted that after listening to the concerns listed by the youth body, which were among others, more of government’s attention to the Anambra State Polytechnic, Mgbakwu, he charged them to continue to support the current administration in the state, which has demonstrated enough youth-friendliness in the appointment of several youths as members of his government.
