The Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze has described the Archbishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Onitsha and Metropolitan of Onitsha Ecclesiastical Province, Most Rev. Valerian Okeke as God’s chosen with enormous unction.
Felicitating Archbishop Okeke as he marks his 70th birthday, Rt. Hon. Udeze maintained that the catholic prelate has distinguished himself among his contemporaries through sound evangelism and sundry religious duties.
The Speaker noted that Archbishop Okeke’s Archiepiscopate has recorded a lot of success both in the growth and development of the church of God, adding that his Archdiocese has given birth to other Catholic dioceses in the state.
He called on other priests and catholic faithful to emulate Archbishop Okeke’s humility, commitment and quality service to God and humanity.
Rt. Hon. Udeze recalled Archbishop Okeke’s glorious years at the Bigard Memorial Seminary Enugu as Rector, where according to him, the Archbishop made landmark achievements in the academic and moral growth of seminarians.
He prayed God to continue to guide Archbishop Okeke and give him longevity and sound health to make more exploits in his religious assignments.
