Work is in progress at the proposed site of Solution Fun City, Awka in Awka South local government area.
Anambra State House of Assembly Committee on Works made the observation while performing their oversight duty at the site.
On arrival, the Committee met the Managing Director of firm handling the project, the consultant and heavy equipment on sight working.
Addressing journalists after oversighting the project, the Chairman of the Committee, Honourable Emma Nwafor observed that the project is still at earth work stage and directed the construction Firm to stick to specifications as they will write their report about the project and submit it to Anambra State House of Assembly.
The Committee made it clear that it is passionate about the project as it is in line with Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s vision of making Anambra livable and prosperous smart mega city by transforming it into destination lounge.
On his part, the Managing Director of the firm handling the project, Mr. Chukwudi Ezenwa explained that the project on completion will have amusement park, water park, relaxation centre, sports and leisure activities among others.
He maintained that they are working hard to complete the project within ten months stipulated period.
