The Governor of Rotary International district nine-one-four-two, Rotarian Akan Emah has called on public spirited individuals and corporate organizations to join Rotary in its efforts to create hope for the people around the world.

 

Speaking at Agu Awka Industrial Layout when he, in company of some District officers and Assistant Governors visited an industrialist Dr Godwin Okafor in his office, Rotarian Emah disclosed that Rotary International is committed to creating a brighter future and prospects for the people through its public oriented programmes.

 

He said that with the support of its partners, Rotary International has continued to sustain its fight against Polio and other diseases that impede human development and called for more support in that direction.

The Rotary Governor who during the visit made Dr Godwin Okafor a honorary Rotarian, in view of his contributions to Rotary, urged him not to relent and thanked Dr Okafor who is also a community leader in Isuofia, Aguata local government area for using his conglomerate to offer employment to the teeming youths, in addition to bringing comfort to various homes.

 

Responding , Dr Okafor thanked Rotary International for what they are doing in the society and reassured them of his total support even as he described Rotary International as an organized group committed to improving the living standards of the people.

In a vote of thanks, the Assistant Governor in charge of Zone nineteen, Rotarian Ogochukwu Okoye described the business executive as a quintessential man who has passion for human capital development and thanked him for the warm reception accorded them.
