The Executive Secretary, Anambra State Primary Health Care Development Agency, Pharmacist Chisom Uchem says Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s administration is poised to reposition the primary health care facilities in the state.
Pharmacist Uchem stated this while speaking to the ABS in her office in Awka.
The Executive Secretary explained that primary health care facilities in the state are wearing new looks since Governor Soludo assumed office and that her agenda is to ensure that the facilities scale up their services to Ndi Anambra to correspond with the huge investment the Governor has made to the health sector.
Pharmacist Uchem who explained that the agency is routinely monitoring its staff in all the facilities in the state in order to see that they judiciously discharge their duties, called on the residents of the state to always visit the PHC’s in their various localities for their medical needs.
She commended the wife of the Governor, Mrs. Nonye Soludo for all her support, especially as it regards the life of mother and children in the state through her pet project, Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo and prayed God to bless her.
The ASPHCDA boss made it clear that priority would be given to health care workers in the hard-to-reach local government areas and that the state government will soon conduct a computer-based test for all the successful applicants that applied for various positions in the recent recruitment of health workers done by the Anambra state government.
Pharmacist Uchem cautioned health care workers in the various facilities in the state to ensure that pregnant women enjoy the free antenatal and delivery given by Governor Soludo and warned that anybody found to be sabotaging the gesture would be severely dealt with by the agency.
