The Acting National Youth Leader of Ohaneze Ndigbo Youth wing worldwide, Mr. Chukwuma Okpalezeukwu has called on Igbo youths to unite and bring back the glory days of the region for a greater tomorrow.
Speaking to the ABS in Awka, Mr. Okpalezeukwu said that Igbo youths are known for their intelligence, entrepreneurial spirit, doggedness and the spirit of oneness, and appealed to them to unite and fight for the peace and stability of the region.
The Ohaneze Ndigbo National Youth Leader regretted that some mischief makers and enemies of Ndigbo are using some gullible minds in the region to cause civil unrest and destabilize the once bubbling economic activities of the Southeast zone.
He further called on the patriotic Igbo youths to liaise with Ohaneze Ndigbo youth wing and other like-minded individuals to fight for the restoration of peace, progress, unity and stability of the zone for the overall good of everybody.
Mr. Okpalaezeukwu made it clear that under his watch and with the support of the leadership of Ohaneze Ndigbo worldwide led by Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu and his National Working Committee, as well as the Southeast Governors, they are going to end the youth restiveness in the southeast.
According to the Ohaneze Youth Leader, he is happy with the harmonious working relationship that exists among the southeast Governors at the moment, saying that it will help to stabilize the region and fast track the economic growth of the zone.
He revealed that the Ohaneze Ndigbo youth wing is planning to have a security summit soon where Igbo youths will converge, listen to security experts and cross-fertilize ideas on how to end the insecurity in the southeast region.
