A member of Awka Development Union, ADUN, Lagos Branch, Chief Jonathan Nzekwe, has described the “One youth two skills” initiative of the Governor Chukwuma Soludo administration in Anambra State as a scheme that will make the youths employers of labour.
Speaking at the International Convention Center in Awka during the formal graduation of five thousand youths from the scheme after their learning processes of various skills, Chief Nzekwe maintained that Governor Soludo is committed to making Anambra State hub for digital skills in Nigeria, and charged the youths to embrace the empowerment in order to become self-reliant.
Chief Nzekwe commended Governor Soludo for allowing youths who are not from Anambra State benefit from the initiative, describing him as a detribalized Nigerian; whose approach to governance needs to be emulated.
He said that the issuance of cheque to the graduands to kickstart their various businesses shows that Governor Soludo is a leader who always keep to his campaign promise of creating over one thousand youth billionaires annually.
Chief Nzekwe used the opportunity to call on youths of Awka extraction to key into the scheme in order to benefit from the commendable programme of the Soludo administration.
He charged the people to continue with their support to the Soludo administration in all it’s policies and programmes aimed at improving the living standards of the people.
Chief Nzekwe used the opportunity to extol the Governor for all his efforts to safeguard the sanctity and glory of the traditional institution, calling for its sustainability.
