The APGA Chairman for Ekwusigo Council Area, Sir Edwin Ukorah, has said that Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s second tenure will be a walkover; considering his blueprints in governance.

 

Sir Ukorah, who stated this during the inauguration of new Executive for Ward Two Oraifite at Oradialo’s Residence, Umunakwa-Oraifite, pointed out that Governor Soludo has done more than four hundred kilometers of roads across the state and still counting, which he said no government has done, listing other areas the Governor has touched the very soul of the people to include free education in government schools from Nursery to Junior Secondary Schools, free antenatal services and delivery, fighting insecurity headlong, which brought reduction in crime rate in the state among others.

The APGA Chairman who tasked the new ward executive on delivery, called for deployment of more teachers to government’s schools in Ekwusigo.

The Chairman for APGA Ward Two, Oraifite, Mrs Ifeoma Onuba, said the Ward is special as it has capable and supportive stakeholders who are eager to assist government to accelerate development, and expressed gratitude to Governor Soludo for his numerous empowerment packages for children, women and youths in the state, pleading for the construction of Ofu Obi and John Aghonu-road with a spur to Awor; just as she promised to deliver on the mandate given to them.

A former President General of Oraifite, and one of the APGA major stakeholders from Ward Two, Oraifite, Sir Ralph Nwike, who explained that out of the twelve wards in Ekwusigo Council Area, Ward Two Oraifite is the highest in terms of vote delivery, disclosed that in the last election, the ward voted ninety percent for APGA, adding that members of the new executive were chosen based on their delivery at their polling units, even as he urged Governor Soludo to pay attention to the Ward by identifying with the people.

Other APGA stakeholders in the community who spoke to the ABS, including the Councilor representing Ifite-Oraifite, Mr Austin Ezenwa, Chief Tochukwu Ijezie, Chief Okey Nwafor, APGA Woman Leader for Ward Two, Lady Rachel Mekaowulu, and a pioneer member of APGA in Oraifite, Mr Benjamin Nzelibe, called for unity of purpose among APGA faithful and intense grassroot mobilization, pleading with the state government to construct Ifite link road that connects four villages in Oraifite.

The APGA State Legal Adviser, Barrister Innocent Okafor, who administered Oath of office on members of the new ward executive, told them to remain steadfast as a solution governor is at the helm of affairs in the state, even as he charged them to also reach out to aggrieved members.
