The Pentecostal Bishops Association Anambra State Chapter has organized a two-day conference with the theme: “Positive Impact in the Community”.
The conference which attracted College of Pentecostal Bishops within and outside the state as well as Pastors from different churches in Umueri, Umuoba Anam and Aguleri was held at Umueri Recreational Club Center, Otuocha, Anambra East local government area.
Addressing the conference, the Bishop of Royal Family Church Enugu, Bishop Edward Ezenwafor who spoke on the topic “Holistic Gospel and Evangelism” told the participants that Jesus Christ did not come to save Souls only but to bring total Deliverance, salvation and healing to mankind and charged the participants to attract people to the gospel of Jesus Christ.
On his part, Bishop Augustine Nwodika of throne of Grace Church, Umunya who spoke on the topic: “God of heaven and earth” said that heaven and earth belongs to God and as such, Christians should be imitators of Christ and described Christians as light and salt of the world.
Contributing, the Chairman Pentecostal Bishops Association Anambra State Chapter, Bishop Tim Obidike took the participants on the topic: “Honor and Power” and advised them to honour God’s words for them to be honoured and blessed by God while Bishop Alex Okedo noted that every Christian has an assignment of introducing Christ as solution giver to the world and challenged Pastors to have the right mindset to preach Christ always.
The Secretary-General, Pentecostal Bishop Association, Bishop Charles Uchenna advised the Pastors to maintain their marriages by devoting time to their spouses, regretting that religion has biased a lot of people’s minds concerning their conjugal rights and bliss in their marriages.
Speaking to the ABS, the General Overseer, Eden Life Bible Church, Bishop Barn Chinwuba said that the aim of the conference was to impact, sensitize and equip the pastors on the need for them to know that they have roles to play in Otuocha Christian-Communities as most youths have resorted to idol worshipping, in their quest of making quick wealth.
Some of the participants at the conference include Pastor Mike Nnamekwe and Pastor Sunday Chika expressed joy at what they have learnt which according to them will assist them as they work in the Lord’s vineyard.
The conference which later rose with a communiqué read by Bishop Obidike, commended the Anambra state Governor Professor Chukwuma Soludo for the ongoing road constructions and reconstructions in various Communities in the state and prayed God to Grant him more wisdom in piloting the affairs of the state.
