Popular Nollywood Actor and a major cast of Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS ‘In The House’ Chukwunekwu Okweye has performed the traditional marriage rites of Miss Favour Obieze.
Mr. Chukwunekwu, who stared also for the ABS ‘Madam Salo’ Tv series married his heartthrob, Miss Favour Obieze at Agulu, Anaocha Local Government of Anambra State.
According to Mr. Okweye, he met his wife while attending a friend’s church at Enugwu-Ukwu in Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State from where their love blossomed after about a year leading to their marriage.
His wife, now Mrs Favour Okweye expressed happiness that their journey of love was destined by God and prayed for a successful and fruitful marital journey.
The Managing Director of ABS, Sir Chido Obidiegwu who highlighted the popular saying that “Love is blind”, advised the couple to be tolerant and always renew their marriage vows at all times.
The Director of Programmes Department, ABS, Mrs. Nneka Ekwunife and her Administration counterpart, Lady Tina Ekenta, described Mr Okweye as a humble fellow who brought his versatile skills to the ABS programme, in the House, while wishing both the best in marital journey.
Another guest at the ceremony, Mr. Sunday Okafor prayed for God’s blessings on the union.
The event was well attended by families, friends and well-wishers.
customary to Igbo culture, the traditional marriage ceremony reached its climax when the bride identified her groom with a cup of palm wine while merriment followed.
