Christians have been reminded of the need to always give thanks to God in order to attract more of His blessings.
The Metropolitan Archbishop of Onitsha Ecclesiastical Province Most Reverend Valerian Okeke stated this during a Pastoral Visit to Christ the King Parish Onitsha.
The annual Visit, Most Reverend Okeke whose homily tagged,” Let Thanksgiving Change your life’ charged the faithful to always love their neighbour and be their brother’s keeper in order to inherit the kingdom of God noting that forgiveness brings about prosperity.
He used the medium to commend the Parish Priest, Very Reverend Father Joseph Umeasiegbu, his Vicars for their doggedness and developmental strides in the Parish and extolled the Parishioners for being supportive.
Appreciating Most Reverend Okeke for the visit, the Parish Priest, Very Reverend Father Joseph Umeasiegbu thanked God for the strength giving to him in going around the Parishes under his care, and equally thanked him for his vision and Mission in the Archdiocese.
Very Reverend Father Umeasiegbu maintained that the visit will boost their morale to be stronger in faith and later called on those who received the Sacrament of Confirmation to be rooted in the things of God
In their separate comments, two of those that received the Sacrament of Confirmation Miss Chukwuma Ngozi and Mr Emmanuel Ejike thanked the Parish Priest Reverend Father Umeasiegbu and Archbishop Okeke for giving them such opportunity and promised to be a shining light to others.
The event featured special rendition by Parish Choir and Blessings.
