Governor Chukwuma Soludo has paid glowing tribute to his late father, Pa Simeon Nwankwo Soludo who passed away on sixth November, 2023, describing him as a great father who lived a befitting life.
The Governor spoke after receiving a condolence letter from members of the State Executive Council, delivered by the Deputy Governor, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim and the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu.
Governor Soludo thanked members of the State Executive Council for their thoughtfulness and solidarity at these difficult moments.
He noted the symbolic coincidence of his father’s death, saying that his death coincided with the anniversary of his election.
Governor Soludo said his father lived a befitting life and will be accorded a decent burial devoid of obscenities.
He added that the funeral will be in strict compliance with the Anambra State burial laws.
The Governor however promised to issue a formal statement on the burial arrangements.
Pa Simeon Nwankwo Soludo died at the age of ninety-two.
