A staff of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Igbariam Campus Mr. Collins Okelue has embarked on a love journey as he took her wife, Miss Anastasia Nwazuluahu to the altar for holy matrimony.

 

The ceremony took place at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral Awka, where the couple professed their love for each other to become husband and wife.

The groom hails from Aguluizigbo in Anaocha Council Area while the bride is a native of Okija, Ihiala Council Area

 

The Eucharistic mass was celebrated by the Catholic Bishop of Ekwulọbịa Diocese, Peter Cardinal Okpalaeke, and attracted the Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Senator Victor Umeh, who chaired the occasion.

The event also had the presence of the Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Right Honourable Somtochukwu Udeze, Secretary to the Anambra State Government, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu, Chief Valentine Ozigbo, the Transition Committee Chairman of Dunukofia Local Government Area, Mr. Augustine Nnoyelum, the Managing Director of the Anambra Broadcasting Service, Sir Chido Obidiegwu, staff of COOU Igbariam and several other dignitaries,

 

In a homily, Cardinal Okpalaeke emphasized the sacredness of marriage, urging the couple to cherish, respect, and love each other.

 

The occasion’s chairman, Senator Umeh expressed joy at the event and prayed for unity while discouraging third-party interference.

The groom’s parents, Chief Peter and Mrs. Brigeth Okelue, expressed happiness not just for the wedding but for being alive to witness all their children’s marriages.

 

Similarly, the bride’s parents, Chief Valentine and Mrs. Ngọzi Nwazuluahu, considered the marriage an answered prayer and a source of joy.

 

Responding, Mr. Collins and Mrs. Anastasia Okelue shared their love journey, attributing their new status to divine grace, while thanking all who journeyed to celebrate them.

 

The event featured cutting of the wedding cake, with an elaborate dance as well as winning and dining.
