Anambra State government has announced that the routine monthly environmental sanitation exercise will be held today , Saturday, November 25 2023.
According to a statement signed by the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Anambra State Waste Management Authority, ASWAMA, Mr Mike Ozoemena, the exercise will hold simultaneously in all the communities in the state between seven o’clock and ten o’clock in the morning.
It said that during the sanitation hours, no form of vehicular or human movements would be tolerated, as anyone found to be violating the order would be prosecuted.
The statement urged all Transition Committee Chairmen of Local Government Areas to ensure proper mobilization and compliance in their areas.
It further urged Ndi Anambra to participate fully in the exercise, clean their surroundings, desilt water channels and properly bag their wastes for adequate collection and disposal by the waste management contractors, and help the Soludo led administration actualize a clean, green, livable and memorable yuletide season for all.
