Christians world over have been charged to always utilize their God given talents to impact the Society.

 

The Metropolitan and Archbishop of Onitsha Ecclesiastical Province, Most Reverend Dr. Valerian Okeke gave the charge at Saint Raphael Catholic Church Anumudu, Okpoko, in Ogbaru council area of Anambra State, when he paid a one day pastoral visit to the church .

The event attracted dignitaries from all walks of life, priests, parishioners and friends of the parish.

 

Archbishop Okeke in a homily tagged “Christians use your God given talents properly” advised Christians to always know their talents in life and use it for the salvation of mankind in order to attract more blessings.

The Archbishop cited example with the parable of ten talents and how they rendered account to their master on how they used their talents.

 

The Catholic Prelate who emphasized that, it is the priority of a Bishop to visit his flocks and know how they are doing as well as encourage them, commended the Parish Priest, Very Reverend Father Mathais Okolo for his untiring efforts and infrastructural development he attracted to the Parish and thanked the parishioners for their support.

Speaking to the ABS, the Parish Priest, Very Reverend Father Okolo who expressed satisfaction with the visit, said through the visit the parishioners are strengthened spiritually, physically and emotionally and urged them to make use of their talent wisely.

 

Also speaking , the Transition Committee Chairman Ogbaru Council Area, Honorable Paschal Anegbuna described Archbishop Okeke as a God sent who takes care of his flock and wished him good health.

He solicited continued support from the people of Okpoko to the government of Professor Chukwuma Soludo as he has demonstrated care for Okpoko community.

 

The visit featured administration of Sacrament of Confirmation to over seven hundred candidates by the Archbishop, thanksgiving, blessing of Grotto, special rendition by Saint Raphael choir among other things.
