A former Deputy Chairman of Awka South local government area Chief Chukwuemeka Orjiakor has charged Nigerians especially Christian faithful to use the period of Christmas in touching lives.

 

Speaking to the ABS in Awka on the significance of Christmas, Chief Orjiakor maintained that Christmas is a period of showing love and affection in addition to giving to the down trodden.

 

Chief Chukwuemeka Orjiakor, who is a knight of saint Christopher in the Anglican communion, called on Christians to use the period of Christmas in visiting the sick and poor as a way of winning souls for Christ.

 

He commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for series of palliatives he rolled out for the people of the State including public and civil servants to ameliorate the hardship on them following the removal of the subsidy on Petrol.

 

Chief Orjiakor charged various Communities across Anambra State to use the period of Yuletide in embarking on those Programmes and projects that will bring peace and unity for enhanced development.

 

He commended the massive Infrastructural development by the Soludo administration in Anambra State especially roads which he said will open up the hinterlands and boost businesses and called on Ndi Anambra to continue with their support and prayers to the administration.
