Ndi Anambra have been urged to see safety on the roads this Yuletide as a collective responsibility.

 

The Unit Commander Special Marshals Unit one Awka, Associate Professor Geoffrey Onyebuchi who made the call in an interview with the ABS in Awka said the need for public enlightenment for road users and drivers cannot be over-emphasized.

 

Associate Professor Onyebuchi commended the contributions of the Federal Road Safety Commission in restoring sanity on the roads and called for more cooperation from the public.

 

In his contribution, the Special Marshals Zonal Patrol Leader Engineer Festus Iloh assured that with the cooperation of the public, gridlock in all the flashpoints in the state will be effectively controlled if not completely eliminated.

 

Also speaking, the Assistant Secretary of Special Marshals Unit one, Mr Ikemefuna Asika advised all Special Marshals to make optimal use of this season to carry out public enlightenment on road safety and encouraged all drivers to ensure that their vehicles are in good condition, not just for their own safety, but also for the safety of others.
