In line with Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s commitment to fostering quality leadership in town unions and community development, the Transition Committee Chairman of Orumba South Local Government Area, Prince Neville Uchendu has effectively overseen peaceful town union elections in Isulo, Ogbunka, and Umuchukwu towns respectively.

 

The elections were conducted according to each town’s constitution, adhering strictly to the principles of fair play and justice.

In his address at the various communities in Orumba South where the town union elections were held, Prince Uchendu called for a peaceful and transparent process, emphasizing the importance of democratic values in community development which he described as one of the major aspects of Governor Soludo’s transformation agenda.

 

He congratulated the newly elected Presidents-General, Messrs Ebenezer Eze for Isulo, Ikechukwu Chukwubueze for Ogbunka and Emeka Adinchezor who was reelected for Umuchukwu as well as their executive and urged them to be true representatives of Governor Soludo’s purposeful administration in their various communities by mobilizing maximum support for the government.

Prince Uchendu advised the newly elected town union officials, especially the Presidents-General, not to be in confrontation with the traditional rulers but to work in tandem with them in order to move their communities forward.

 

Meanwhile,the Orumba South Council Boss,Prince Uchendu has joined the people of Anambra West in celebrating the Okpu Ani Asa beach carnival at Oroma-Etiti Anam in the spirit of Yuletide.

Prince Uchendu who was accompanied by his wife Jennifer,described Ndi Anambra West as major beneficiaries of Governor Soludo’s eventful administration in terms of road infrastructure, security, employment as well as other basic amenities and urged them to reciprocate the Governor’s gesture by giving him maximum support at all times.

 

The Oroma-Etiti beach carnival was organized by the Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs, Chief Tony-Collins Nwabunwanne who hails from the area.
