A private individual, Chief Kenneth Ifekudu has stunned the Ozubulu community of Ekwusigo Council Area in Anambra State, Nigeria, by donating a newly constructed road and market to his community.
The projects, fully funded by Chief Ifekudu were Commissioned by Governor Chukwuma Soludo
The road, which is two point two seven kilometers long, will greatly improve the transportation system in the community and make it easier for people to get to work and school.
In addition, the new market will provide a much-needed space for local traders to sell their goods.
Governor Soludo reiterated his administration’s emphasis on Public, Private, Community Partnership, PPCP, stressing that everyone must join hands to aid the government in doing development work.
He mention some ongoing government projects in Ozubulu, as well as the development of three new planned cities including Awka two point zero, Onitsha two point zero and the Industrial City, noting his government’s prioritized attention on human capital development.
The Governor added that most of the policies are aimed at empowering the underprivileged, reaffirming his commitment to running an all-inclusive government, specially targeting the poor and down-trodden.
The benefactor, Chief Ifekudu commended Governor Soludo for intensifying calls on “Aku Luo Uno” policy, and pledged to continue supporting the Governor’s lofty visions.
He added that the Governor’s leadership motivated him to further dedicate his resources to Ozubulu, his community.
The event was attended by Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr Ernest Ezeajughi, Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Engineer Ifeanyi Okoma, Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Mr Paulinus Onyeka, their Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs counterpart, Honourable Tony-Collins Nwabunwanne, among others.
