Dr. Chika Bosah has been conferred with “Omeka Enyi Amichi” Chieftaincy title by the traditional ruler of the community, Igwe Alphonsus Ezeoke.

 

The Chieftaincy title was conferred on Dr Bosah, a foreign-based Doctor of Psychology, on the eight edition of Ofala festival of Igwe Ezeoke.

Conferring the “Omeka Enyi Amichi” Chieftaincy title on Dr. Bosah, Igwe Ezeoke thanked her and others for their contributions to the community development, saying that great things begin to happen in the lives of people upon chieftaincy titles from Amichi.

 

The Transition Committee Chairman of South Local Government Area, Mr Ikenna Aniagboso; from Amichi, who felicitated with the people, thanked Governor Chukwuma Soludo for providing safe and secured environment for hitch-free festivities.

He noted that embarking on community development projects and programs earn people Chieftaincy titles in Amichi, and called for more hands in ensuring security, creating job opportunities through industrialization, as well as increasing more people’s access to quality education and healthcare.

On his part, a member of Traditional Council of Amichi, and Councilor representing Amichi Ward One, Chief Onwuania Chikwendu, noted that only men and women of proven integrity and outstanding contributions to community development are honoured with Chieftaincy titles in the community, just as the Chairman of the Ofala Planning Committee, Mr. Ezekiel Chukwuemeka, expressed optimism that the Chieftaincy title recipients will continue to support community development.

 

Best friend to “Omeka Enyi Amichi”, Ann Obot, said Dr. Bosah has been a humanitarian and a goal getter, and would use the new position to do more great things for her people.

Thanking Igwe Ezeoke and people of the community after she was conferred with the “Omeka Enyi Amichi” Chieftaincy title, Dr. Chika Frances Bosah said that as an advocate of Igbo culture and tradition, she feels delighted and honoured, and assured that something big is coming to her people, just as she encouraged young people to feel free to take Chieftaincy titles and use them in uplifting their people.

 

Restating the importance of mental and public health, Dr. Bosah said she would, among other things, focus on the younger generation and creating awareness on the health issues.
