It was a celebration of remarkable achievements, growth and unity for the past one year as Ozubulu Unique Club celebrated its one-year anniversary recently.

 

Ozubulu Unique Club, is a club with the mission to touch lives of community members and foster peace, progress and development.

The one-year anniversary was marked with the commissioning of a security house and security tower constructed by the club to fortify the safety of life and property in Ozubulu.

 

Chief Anthony Unuigwe and Chief Agbalanze Ifekudu who are members of the club played important roles in the installation of Close Circuit Television cameras and the security Tower respectively.

Commissioning the facilities, the Anambra State Commissioner of Police Mr. Aderemi Adeoye, expressed gratitude to the club for its dedication to the Community’s welfare, acknowledging their role in restoring community security while the traditional ruler of Ozubulu, Igwe Nnamdi Ọrụche, showered encomiums on the club, and prayed for progress in all their endeavors.

 

The President of the Club, Chief Christian Oruche noted that the club motive is to keep supporting the community and touching lives, expressing happiness for the events.

In a remark, some members of the club including, Chief Aloysius Ikegwuonu and Mr. Emeka Oformata, assured of more works through the club, and expressed gratitude to God while recalling Mr. Adeoye’s efforts in safeguarding Ozubulu during his tenure as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Operations.

 

Commending the project , the President General of Ozubulu, Engr. Chris Ononuju and Vice President General, Chief Ken Obidike recognized the club’s unwavering commitment to welfare of the community , while the Commander, Ozubulu Security Services, Comrade Jude Ononuju, expressed gratitude to the club.

The Club also paid a courtesy visit to the traditional ruler of Ozubulu, Igwe Oruche, where they exchanged views for the community’s progress and also donated bags of rice to the vigilante group as a way of encouraging them, and observed a minute silence for Mr. Enoch Chukwuemeka, a vigilante member who sacrificed his life in protecting the citizenry.

 

The event featured presentation of awards to some community members and guests for their achievements and contributions to the Community’s progress.

 

Noteworthy among the awardees were the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Adeoye and Dr. Ugọchị Nweze, the best graduating medical students from the University of Nigerian, Nsukka.
