The Anglican Bishop of Aguata Diocese Right Reverend Samuel Ezeofor says the main purpose of God in creating Man is to enable Him to be in closer contact and communication with him.

 

Bishop who Ezeofor stated this in a sermon at Saint Andrew’s church Igboukwu in Aguata local government area, the main purpose of God in creating Man is to enable for the expansion dedication of the church and its vicarage of God’s kingdom on Earth.

Bishop Ezeofor, who described sin as the greatest barrier between God and Man, pointed out that the essence of building the church and temple is to save man from practicing idolatry, and cautioned people against indulging in idol worship.

 

The Aguata Bishop who is also the National Chairman of the Evangelical Fellowship in the Anglican Communion, EFAC Nigeria advised people against bringing family or village politics inside church, stressing the need for sanctity of the church to be maintained as the only place where powers are received through prayers, saying that the building of the church at Igboukwu speaks volume of their love and acceptance of the things of Lord.

In a remark, the resident priest of Saint Andrew’s church Igboukwu, Reverend Samuel Nweke, thanked God for what he did in his parish and called on the people to always donate to evangelism as the blessings are enormous.

 

For Reverend Christian Obi, giving to God is the best thing that anyone can do, as according to him, God appreciates such an act and abundantly rewards the individual involved.

The service attracted the Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Lafia in Nasarawa State, Right Reverend Godwin Adeyi Robinson and wife, the president of Aguata Diocesan Women’s Ministry Mrs. Chinyere Ezeofor, Director of Media and Communications in Aguata Diocese Mr. Abuchi Nwozor, immediate past president General of Igboukwu Development Union, Sir Chris Ike, member representing Aguata federal constituency at the National Assembly Engineer Dom Okafor, among others.

 

The service which was conducted by the Archdeacon of Igboukwu Archdeaconry, Venerable Emmanuel Nwankwo featured, anthems by the choir, series of prayers for those in leadership positions, Anambra State, and Nigeria, as well as thanksgiving by Reverend Obi’s family.
